Pre-Congress: Welcome Reception

14 October 2026, evening

Delegates arriving in Istanbul ahead of the congress are warmly invited to an informal welcome reception on the evening of 14 October. Held in a relaxed, collegial setting, the reception offers an early opportunity to meet fellow researchers, practitioners, keynote speakers, and members of the organizing committee before the formal proceedings begin the following morning.

Day 1

15 October 2026 — On-site, Piri Reis University, Tuzla Campus

Day 1 forms the scholarly core of LM-SCM2026 and is the day on which in-person attendance is most strongly encouraged. The full keynote programme, thematic panel discussions, and on-site paper presentations unfold across the day, culminating in the congress gala dinner — a fitting close to a day of academic exchange, held against the backdrop of Tuzla’s maritime setting on the shores of the Marmara Sea.

Day 2

16 October 2026 — Online

Day 2 is conducted entirely online and is dedicated to parallel virtual paper sessions, enabling authors and delegates joining remotely to present their research and engage in discussion irrespective of geographic location. The day concludes with the congress’s closing remarks, bringing the scientific programme to a close.

Social Programme

17 October 2026 — Istanbul (optional)

An optional social programme exploring Istanbul is planned for Saturday, 17 October, offering delegates the opportunity to experience the city’s rich maritime and cultural heritage beyond the congress venue. Full details will be announced in due course.
