Call for Papers
Dear LM-SCM friend,
Now in its 24th year, and building on more than two decades of LM-SCM gatherings hosted across Türkiye’s leading universities, this edition is hosted for the first time by
Piri Reis University — Türkiye’s first and only maritime-specialized university — on the shores of Istanbul’s Tuzla coast, in partnership with LODER (the Logistics Association of Turkey) and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece.
Joining us for the occasion will be an outstanding line-up of keynote speakers:
Prof. (Dr.) Thomas SIM, President of FIATA, opens the congress with a frontline view of global trade disruption, alongside Prof. Dr. Hercules HARALAMBIDES, Dr. Okan TUNA, and Prof. Dr. Theodore SYRIOPOULOS, bringing decades of combined expertise in maritime economics, shipping finance, and supply chain resilience.

Congress Theme & Topics
From Red Sea shipping disruptions and Black Sea grain corridor uncertainty to Panama Canal drought restrictions and recurring congestion at major global ports, world events have moved maritime supply chain resilience from a specialist concern to front-page news. LM-SCM 2026 offers a timely and substantive forum for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to examine these developments together — turning headline-level disruption into rigorous, actionable understanding.
